Life is about turning up
This last week I took my first holiday in years. I went to Cleveland of all places for a friends wedding. I went to school in the US and the groom was one of my former team mates from University.
His now wife mentioned many times how happy he was that I turned up. I think that is 90% of life. Turning up.
He had family that were less than useless in terms of helping him get ready for the wedding. Other friends that lived less than 30 minutes away that couldn't make it.
I didn't do much but get on a seat and not sleep for hours since I am too big for the airplane seats, but I got to the wedding, with a slight delay in customs in Houston and an overnight stay and early flight the next morning, but I got there.
You can be the best and most talented at what ever your pursuit is but if you don't turn up then all that talent is wasted.

Moment of Gratitude
It was amazing to see friends from the other side of the world. I think spending time with people you care about is one of the best experiences you can have, even if you are jet lagged to death and your body has no idea what time it is.
I also was lucky that I had a friend fill out all your orders while I was away. It was great to have someone take care of things while I was away.
